Dangers of Texting While Driving PSA Contest

State Farm Insurance™ and the Permian Basin Regional Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse (PBRCADA) held a competition for a students from 7th to 12th grade to create a Public Service Announcement on “The Dangers of Texting While Driving“.

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in this contest.  We had 19 wonderful and creative entries showcasing the dangers of texting while driving.  Out of the 19 entries we had three PSA videos that were chosen as the winners!

About Us:

Department State Health Services has established 11 Prevention Resource Centers across the state of Texas. Region 9 PRC has been givien the resources to maximize prevention efforts by performing a coordinative role between DSHS and other entities that are involved in alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

The overall goal of Region 9 PRC is to increase the effectiveness and visibility of prevention of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and abuse within the region through information dissemination, community education, identification of community resources and identifying best practices in prevention.
